The first version of the SOLAMAC website was developed by Victor Sahate by request from Salvatore Siciliano in 2003. The website was managed by André S. Barreto since 2004, being hosted in the UNIVALI servers. Fernanda Marques contributed in an effective manner during this phase.

In 2006, Cristiane C. A. Martins took over the website administration and since 2008 shares this task with Rodrigo S. Amaral. Since 2008, the website is hosted as a courtesy of WebColors.

The new version of the website went on air in May 2013, developed by Cristiane C. A. Martins and Rodrigo S. Amaral and accomplished by the web designer Fellipe Elias. This new version was developed during the board of Doris Oliva (2010-2012) and received support from all members of the board, from Maria E. Morete and Daniel Palacios. Ceciclia Passadore and Deborah Fernandes helped with the website translation.

The SOLAMAC web team thanks all members who have collaborated with the construction and maintenance of the website by sending photos or posting news! This is the new website of the Society, help us turn it into a benchmark about the study of aquatic mammals in Latin America!
